5. Football Weekly: Luis Suárez takes a chunk out of Chelsea's top four plans

Football Weekly: Luis Suárez takes a chunk out of Chelsea's top four plans

Today's Football Weekly brings you biting analysis and several other superior puns from the chops of James Richardson, Barry Glendenning, John Ashdown and Amy Lawrence. They begin by discussing the amazing 2-2 draw at Anfield, where Liverpool's Luis Suárez scored a 97th minute eqaliser, a mere thirty minutes after sinking his teeth into Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic. Strange man. The result makes Chelsea's Champions League plans that much more tricky, especially because Tottenham bounced back against Manchester City and 10-man Arsenal squeaked past Fulham. Next, Sid Lowe and Rafa Honigstein go at it hammer and tongs as they debate the relative merits of Barcelona and Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, who are involved in an almighty midweek European Cup Royal Rumble in the Champions League semi-finals. Finally, we wonder how Sky's promotions department are going to talk up QPR's trip to Reading at the weekend, seeing as both clubs could be relegated before taking to the pitch. It's our an annual braniac special on Thursday, with Jonathan Wilson joined by Michael Cox. Leave your questions for them and your feedback on today's programme on the blog below.

13. Football Weekly: Suárez salvages a point as Chelsea slip up again

Football Weekly: Suárez salvages a point as Chelsea slip up again

The BBC may been in crisis, but there's no such problem for the pod, as AC Jimbo welcomes Barry Glendenning, Barney Ronay and Gregg Bakowski to shoot the breeze and, indeed, effluvia after a semi-dramatic weekend in the Premier League. We start with Chelsea's wasteful draw at home to Liverpool, before heading on to discuss Manchester City's 2-1 win over Spurs (see, Bobby Manc does know what he's doing some of the time), United's come-from-behind victory at Aston Villa, and Arsenal's continuing malaise following their 3-3 draw with Fulham. Next, it's time for any other business, including Gary Neville's revised plans for his mega-hotel, footballers' former professions, and Yann M'Vila's two-year ban for nightclubbing. Finally, it's back to matters on the pitch during the Serie A soliloquy and the most cursory of previews of those pesky international friendlies. We've got housewives' favourites Rafa Honigstein and Pedro Pinto with us on Thursday for what is potentially our sexiest line-up ever. If you think differently, tell us below on the blog below.

@alvarosuarezmusic Here we go again! A few months have passed since we promised you Teil 2 of our little compilation, but we're a trustworthy organisation *wink* and so we keep our promises. This second half of VAgabunden aims to stay connected to the organic soundscapes of the first one, while exploring new themes, sounds and feelings. But words shouldn't express what sounds do best, so sit down open your mind and let the music flow through your ears. We want to thank everyone involved in this adventure and also you for being so loving and supportive! Stay the way you are, or become the way you want to be. Football Weekly: Luis Suárez hands Liverpool FA Cup win over Mansfield

James Richardson's back in the extra comfy presenter's chair for today's Football Weekly, and he's got Barry Glendenning, Tom Lutz and James Horncastle to keep him company as we look back at all the romance and hi-jinx from the weekend's FA Cup games. We kick things off by tut-tutting naughty Luis Suárez after his handball provided Liverpool's safe passage over plucky Mansfield, before taking in Demba Ba's goalscoring debut for Chelsea, Newcastle's defeat at Brighton, and Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Swansea. Next, there's a bumper Serie A section, paying particular attention to matters at AC Milan, including Kevin-Prince Boateng's stand against racism and the sale of the once mercurial Alexandre Pato. Finally, we hear from Sid Lowe about the continuing hoo-haa between José Mourinho and Iker Casillas at Real Madrid, before finishing up by getting as excited as possible about this week's Capital One Cup semi-finals. Have a listen and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
